After nearing the process of painting, painting, and painting, I think we can see progress again.  So...here are the current pictures that I took over the last several days.

Current Status

Okay - I know it's been about a month since my last post.  Progress is still being made, but the changes are not as dramatic now.  So...be patient with me.

I'm just going to post some current photos and not try to bring everyone up to speed.  We're currently slated to be moving in by the second weekend of April (which means that we will have lived in the bunkhouse for 12 months by that time).  Claustrophobia is setting in.

The painters are in this week, so some of the pictures are of cabinets / windows that are covered with plastic.  Also - the staircase has been removed and is being prepared for stain.  The front entrance is shaping up, and the welder is here this week putting the metal in place.  It's been an incredible experience so far.

The upstairs hasn't changed since the last post, so these pictures are of the downstairs.  Here are some pictures from the master suite area.

I have 3 sets of antique doors~~one going into the master bedroom, one going into the master bathroom, and the last one going into the master closet.  I've had these antique doors for years, and the trim guys did a tremendous job preparing them for use.  I'm super excited about them.

The trim guys are working on bending the wood for the frames.

This is a picture of the bathtub in the master bathroom.  It's from a few weeks back and is completely framed now.  The window behind the tub will allow us to look outside while we soothe our muscles from working on the farm.

Here are some pictures from the entrance and the gate.

This is a picture of the dining room doors (and the door to the study is the same).  The first picture shows the door, and the second shows one of the doors that has been painted.

I'm so excited about the staircase.  I was crushed when I found out that they had to take it down so that they could stain it.  But..It Will Be Back!  It was so cool watching them bend the wood so that it curved up to the upstairs landing.  These trim guys are truly amazing.

The first picture is a picture of the staircase rail being bent.  I can't get my current staircase picture to work, so y'all will just have to wait.

These are the sidelights by the front door.

Here is the mantel over the fireplace in the den.

Here is a picture of the island cabinet in the kitchen.

Here are the cabinets in the study.

Here is how the den looks right now.  What a mess, but it will be cool once these cabinet doors are rehung...

Okay - that's all I have for now.  Thanks for checking in to see our progress.

Cabinets...Cabinets...We have Cabinets

Okay - we don't have all the cabinets installed yet, but we're certainly able to visualize what the rooms will look like once they are completed.

This is a quick walk-thru showing some of the cabinets.  It may be a little hard to get a clear picture of the rooms but I tried my best.

Before I get started on the cabinets, here is a picture of the French door that will go into our office/study.  There will be 2 more doors just like this that will go into the formal dining room.

Now...On to the cabinets.  Here is a picture of the bar cabinets (which, for some reason, is Harry's focus).  Once complete, we will have a beverage center, an ice maker, sink, and a wine rack.

Here are the cabinets that will be in my hobby area.

This is the desk that will be in the kitchen area (not really in the kitchen, but just around the corner).  This is where I'll keep my iPad so that I can be in constant communication with the world!

On to the kitchen.  We will have an island in the middle (but that cabinet is not yet complete).

This is the picture of the cabinets that will face out the back window.  The kitchen sink will be directly below the window.

This is the set of cabinets that will house the double oven and the gas range top.

Now...we enter into the master bedroom.  The first picture is of the vanity in the master bathroom.  We have have 2 of these so that Harry and I won't have to share.

Here is the linen cabinet in the master bathroom.

Here is a partial shot of the shelving in the master closet.

Here is a photo of the utility room cabinets.  It is only one side (the side with the washer/dryer).  The other side will also have cabinets but I couldn't get a picture of them.

Just outside of the utility room is the "mud-room".  This is where Harry will come in and take off his dusty/muddy clothes after working on the farm.

Here are a couple of shots from the upstairs area.  The first one is of one of the vanities from the upstairs bathroom.

This is a picture of the storage cabinets.  We have 2 of these units (one outside of each bedroom).  This is where I'll have the toys for the grand-kids so that they can go upstairs and play.

I saw the painter come in and drop off his painting trailer this afternoon, so I guess he will start painting trim this week.   I'm not sure that the trim guy is ready, so this may move him along a little faster.

I hope everyone out there has an Awesome Week!
